Lots of people play Maplestory, but very few are happy with the jobs they pick at level 10. This guide is only for people who have accounts.

Well, if this is your first character, then play for at least a week on your own before reading this. If not, then read on!

Pick a warrior for these attributes. If you want a character with high HP and good attacks in your early stages, then you want to be a warrior. Warriors are good at training and are often invited to guilds and parties, and they are very expensive characters. Warriors, especially spear man, are natural mobbers, and thus, easy to level during your first and second job advancements.

Choose bowmen if you like high DEX. If you want a character with high DEX and Good Mob attacks, then choose bowman. They have very quick range attacks and they deal a very good amount of damage. They are one of the cheapest characters to get and they are very good people. 1st Job bowmen can get a skill that gives them up to 160% speed and at 2nd Job, they can summon different familiars.

Whip up a magician. If you're looking for a character that has very high MP and does very good damage when using mob attacks, then you want a magician. Magicians do very well in leveling until about level 15, then it's very hard to level for about 5 levels. Magician is thought of as the lamest job for many people. But they are very powerful range attackers and mob attackers. They have very high attack and are used in Party Quests very frequently because of their long range attacks. Note: Magicians are not to be used to kill, or steal from, any other player (especially warriors). Clerics can heal, make portals, and add buffs for their party members, so if you become a Cleric, you may be exploited.

Tips:
If you pick a class that you think is right for you but you end up disappointed, don't be discouraged. Sometimes the class you think will least likely fit you is the one that you will be the best with!
Some skills can be used to help or annoy other players. For example, the Fire/Poison Mage can cast Poison Mist to make players think someone farted. Haste is useful for boosting your and your party members' speed and jump. The Battle Mages have a skill which can boost their party members' attack and speed.
There are many ways to level up in Maplestory, once you are level 10 you can compete in the Henesys Party Quest level 10+. And when you are level 21 you will want to compete in the Kerning City Party Quest level 21 - 30.
Evans, Cygnus Knights, and Mercedes can learn a flying skill when they are level 120. It costs 50 mil, but when you reach max level, you can fly without being interrupted. Other classes can learn it, but they need a cash shop mount that can fly or a mount from the Mount Gachapon that can fly.
