MapleStory 2: How Item and Skill Upgrading System Work

This article will introduce you how the Item and Skill Upgrading System work in MapleStory2, even though everyone knows that almost every rpg has an Item Upgrading System.

Item Upgrading System

Typically you can only upgrade items that are Lv.20+ (I think they adopted this logic so people dont spend money in "noob" itens and invest more in high level itens) and in order to obtain the materials (red gems and blue crystals), you need to Dismantle a Lv.20+ item (yes, that's right). I dont know exactly how many red gems per item you get but the quantity is higher depend on how high is your item grade and level(oh, you don't say). Also, only cities that has quests over Lv.19 has the NPCs to Dismantle and to Upgrade your gear.

Skill Upgrade System

The skill upgrade system is similar to the Item Skill, however, you can upgrade almost any skill in your skill tree, you need the same item while upgrading itens (the blue crystal) and as i said before, you can gain through dismantling items (most likely) and quests. The amount of crystals increase each time you upgrade. Below video is an example for you guys.
