Maplestory guide: highest armor set to buy from a NPC shop

I know it may not be worth it as I heard some endgame armor sets can be pretty cheap if you go for the right one but the game been adding more and more armor sets that you can simply buy and there isn't a single Maplestory fan site that is really up to date with anything. I simply want to see when the player is literally forced to FM/boss/craft new armor sets. I recall a time where level 70 was the highest NPC armor set but this was pre-BB. What is the highest armor set you can buy from a NPC shop?

As far as I know, 70 is still the highest you can purchase from an npc. Zakum, Chaos Zakum, pink bean, Magnus, and Hilla drop armor varying from 100-140. Empress drops 140 equipment and chaos root abyss bosses drop 150 gear. Gollux coin shop has various accessories (110-140 iirc).

The highest armor you can buy with mesos is Level 70. The highest you can get from NPC stores using special coins like Von Leon tokens or Azwan Coins are around the 130 level range. You can bet that 90% of all high-tier armor selling NPCs take some form of coin or token for armor.
